Like all other marsupials and rodents, sugar gliders are prone to bacterial and parasitic infections, Giardia, a protozoan parasite that affects sugar gliders and can cause dehydration, weight loss, and lethargy. The main reason for parasitic and bacterial infection is under washed fruits and vegetables. So make sure it must be washed before feeding it to your sugar glider.
